Raise Money

We’ve teamed up with JustGiving, the UK’s leading online fundraising website, so you can donate and raise funds for us online.

It’s really easy for you to raise money for us by creating an online fundraising page on JustGiving. It takes just a few minutes and you can collect donations for any sponsored event or appeal. Just go to: www.justgiving.com/mak/raisemoney

JustGiving sends donations straight to our bank account and adds Gift Aid to every eligible donation.

You could very soon be one of our Top Fundraisers!

Fundraising pages are just like paper sponsorship forms, except they’re online, so you don’t have to spend time collecting cash and cheques. Just personalise your page with a photo and message and email the web address to all your contacts. Then your friends, family, colleagues and anyone else can make a donation through your page from anywhere in the world.

You can create a fundraising page for absolutely anything. You could get sponsored to run, swim, cycle, get fit, grow a moustache or have your head shaved. You can even create a page in memory of someone or instead of wedding gifts. The only limit is your imagination. Chances are you already have a good idea about how you’re going to fundraise for MAK. Get in touch – we can help and advertise your event in our calendar.

Thinking of making a big gift?

Large donations enable us to plan ahead, be imaginative and maintain our independence so we can focus on what we do best – helping the people of Kosovo.

We are very grateful for the support we receive from major donors and we aim to build long-term relationships with individuals and organisations who can support us with significant gifts.

Please get in touch, so that you can make a big difference.

Music Memorabilia

MAK is constantly collecting music memorabilia and art work and would be grateful for donations. This is auctioned to raise valuable funds for our work. The 2008 auction, which included rare artwork by Radiohead, Elbow, The Charlatans, Doves,  Graham Coxon, and a series of signed portraits by Shari Denson, raised nearly £3,000.

Please contact music@makonline.org to help or send your memorabilia donation direct to MaK.

Donations in kind

MaK diverse achievements have been achieved due to donations of time, skill and donations in kind. In addition to our first convoy of 1,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid, schools in Kosova have been equipped with donated IT, footballs to schools, medical equipment to hospitals, and books to libraries.

Sponsor a friend

Every year more and more people are running races for MAK. Our main event is the 10km Great Manchester Run and we support our runners all the way. Search for your friend on Just Giving. You can sponsor volunteering costs in the same way. If your friend has a fundraising page it’s easy and can be gift-aided adding to their fund from tax you have already paid.

Medical appeal

MaK is currently appealing for funding to support psychiatric units and hospitals in Kosovo.

In Memoriam

Remember and honour a loved one with a living memorial.  Find out how your dedication can create the Manchester Peace Park .

Leave a Legacy

There are three main ways that you can leave a gift in your Will:

  • A share of your estate
  • A specific sum
  • A specific item

Legacy gifts are a valuable source of funding for MAK’s work to relieve poverty, sickness and distress in Kosovo.
